Field Mouse

With color B,

Ears (make two)

Leave about 4-5” tail at beginning end ch2, 4 sc into 2nd ch from hook, do not join, cut tail about 4-5” long, pull through loop.

Mouse

Round 1 ch 2, 6 sc into 2nd ch from hook. (6)

Round 11 1 sc in each st around. (14)

Attach ears between rows 9 and 10. Using yarn needle, thread both “tails” of yarn through body, and knot tightly from inside. Cut access yarn.

Round 12 *sc2tog, sc in next 4 sts, (repeat from * to end of round). (12)

Place eyes

If using yarn rather than safety eyes, cut two lengths of black yarn about 5 “ long. Double knot each length in the middle to create “eyes”. Thread both ends of yarn through body, just in front and inside of ears, knotting tightly. Cut access yarn.

Stuff body, and continue to stuff as you close the “nose”.

Round 13 *sc2tog, sc in next 3 sts (repeat from * to end of round). (10)

Round 14 *sc2tog, sc in next 2 sts (repeat from * to end of round). (8)

Cut tail, pull through loop, and using yarn needle, thread yarn through top of all 8 stitches and pull tight. Weave in yarn. To make nose and tail, cut a long length of black yarn, and start by threading needle to the nose area through the “tail end” of the mouse, affectively hiding your first end piece of yarn. Sew an inverted triangle to the mouse, and fill in. On last “fill in” needle pass through, pass the needle all the way through the mouse out the “tail end”, creating his tail. Cut to desired length.

Finishing Use picture as reference on how Bunny Foo Foo is sewn together. Sew head to body, stuffing further to keep head/neck firm. Sew ears to head. Sew arms and legs to body Sew field mouse to hand if you like, or leave free. *Make a small pom pom for Bunny’s tail. There are many tutorials online to show you how to make a pom pom.
